Dr Persaud completed his Doctor of Medicine in Urology in 2015 and then completed 2 years of subspecialty training in Endourology in the United Kingdom.
He returned to Trinidad in 2018 and is a consultant based at the San Fernando General Hospital. He is a Lecturer in Urology at the University of the West Indies and Director of the Residency Program in Urology at UWI, which trains local urologists.
Dr Persaud is a Fellow of the Caribbean College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a member of the International Society of Urology (SIU) and the American Urological Association. He served on the Programs for Developing World Committee of the SIU Academy and currently sits on the Endourology Committee of the SIU Academy. He is a member of the Caribbean Urological Association where he served as Organizing Secretary as well as Scientific Chair. Dr Persaud has authored numerous research papers in urology.
He sees adult patients with urological complaints including kidney stones and prostate issues.
